BIDDING PROCESS FOR WMC 2026

Phase 1: Interest phase

• 13 September 2023: Release of the expression of Interest Phase. This first phase of the bid process is an interest phase and does not represent a commitment to the bid.
  o    The ITTF will then reach out to all bidders who have expressed interest to learn more about them and their bid, and explain more about the WMC and the rest of the bidding process.
   

• 15 October 2023: Close of Phase 1
  o    Bids not submitted in Phase 1 shall not be eligible for Phase 2.

Phase 2: Bid phase - Commitment to bid

​

• By 16 October 2023: ITTF to release detailed bid documents
   

• 15 December 2023: Detailed bids are due and a commitment to bid will be required
   

• 15 December 2023: Close of Phase 2

 

 

 

Phase 3: Selection phase 

​

• 16 December 2023 to 15 January 2024: Evaluation and inspections shall be held during this period by the Selection Committee.
   

• 16 to 25 February: Presentation of the final bids at the ITTF WTTTC Finals 2024 in Busan, Korea Republic, and Host Allocation
