REQUIREMENTS

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS TO HOST

General

  • 2025 WYC from 4 to 7 December* 2025

  • U19 Boys' & Girls' Teams [Knock out of 12]

  • U19 Boys' & Girls' Singles [Knock out of 32]

  • U19 Boys' & Girls' Doubles [Knock out of 16]

  • U19 Mixed Doubles [Knock out of 32]

  • U15 Boys' & Girls' Teams [Knock out of 8]

  • U15 Boys' & Girls' Singles [Knock out of 24]

  • U15 Boys' & Girls' Doubles [Knock out of 12]

  • U15 Mixed Doubles [Knock out of 24]

  • Ceremonies include Opening Ceremony, Award Ceremony and Closing Ceremony.

Note: Knock out sizes subject to adjustments​

Venue

  • Main Hall

    • Size of 4 show courts (8m x 16m each​)

    • Ready at least 2 days prior to the start date

  • Warm-Up and Training Hall(s)

    • ​Warm-Up Hall with 8 courts (6m x 12m each)

    • Training Hall with 12 courts (6m x 12m each)

    • Ready at least 3 days prior to the start date 

  • High-traffic Exhibition area for spectators, exhibitors and sponsors

  • Player facilities including Seats, Lounges, Medical, massage and first-aid, and Changing rooms.

  • VIP facilities including Seats and Lounges.

  • Administrative facilities including Meeting rooms, Seats, ITTF offices, Umpire Lounges, Official Lounges, Call-Area and Doping control.

  • Media facilities including Seats, Press room, Mixed Zone and Press Conference.

  • Sufficient Internet and other IT services, including support for ITTF’s Result Management System.

Hospitality

  • Accommodation: minimum 4 stars

  • Transport, catering for players, officials, sponsors, and other partners.

Marketing and Media

  • Media requirements shall be set out in WYC Event Manual, to ensure the best conditions for media.

  • The WYC Directives shall outline the minimum requirements for Sports Presentation.

  • All sponsorship agreements signed by the ITTF shall be upheld by the organisers.

  • VIP services shall be implemented as per the WYC Event Manual.

Functions and Services

  • The organisers shall provide players with high level of service, according to WYC Event Manual.

  • ITTF and organisers must conduct Anti-Doping tests, in accordance with the ITTF and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), regulations and the policies of the Host Country's Government.

  • ITTF and organisers must conduct Racket Testing, according to the rules and regulations of ITTF.

  • Organisers must ensure that medical services will be available throughout the WYC, in accordance with WYC Event Manual.

Referees and Umpires

  • The organisers and ITTF will invite national and foreign Referees and Umpires according to the Directives for Match Officials at World Title Competitions of the ITTF.

  • ITTF may invite certified ITTF instructors to conduct training and evaluations for umpires before or during the event, in accordance with the Directives for the AUT Course, Advanced Rules Exam (ARE), Evaluators and Referee Team.
